Development of Everyday Leaders – The Art of Asking Better Questions
August 12, 2016

While asking questions may seem like a simple task, it is perhaps the most powerful tool that leaders can possess.

On August 26 as part of the ongoing Everyday Leaders series co-sponsored by the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce and Meridian Technology Center, join Anna Irwin, a certified instructor for the John Maxwell team. Irwin will facilitate discussion and networking regarding why great questions are excellent tools for clarifying concerns and degrees of comprehension as well as for developing the skills and perspectives of leaders and their teams.

“Strong leaders know that asking the right questions can be transformational when it comes to leading others,” said Marcy Luter, Staff and Management Development Training Coordinator at Meridian Technology Center. “In this interactive session, we will discuss why questions are so important, what questions you should ask yourself as a leader, and what questions you should be asking your team.” Regardless of whether you are a seasoned leader at the top of your game or a newcomer wanting to take the first steps into leadership, this session will change the way you look at questions and improve your leadership life.

The upcoming Everyday Leaders session will be held August 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Meridian’s campus. Registration is $15 and includes lunch. To attend this session of Everyday Leaders call Meridian Technology Center at (405) 377-3333 or register online at meridiantech.edu/everydayleaders.

This professional development seminar is part of a quarterly series on leadership and provides an opportunity for individuals to meet in an informal setting, connect with a network of leaders and discover how they can make an impact in their workplace and community. Each session will combine a presentation on the selected series topic, networking opportunities and small group discussion regarding practical applications.
