LAUNCH AND LEARN: A PODCAST SERIES with Jason Adams 

This virtual series is designed to guide aspiring podcasters through every step of launching their own show.

In quick, yet informative, one-hour sessions, Jason Adams covers essential topics, from concept development and episode planning to recording techniques and marketing strategies. Participants will learn practical skills, gain industry insights, and receive expert advice on creating engaging content that resonates with their target audience.

From topic selection, audience targeting, and technical requirements, this session covers everything you need to consider before starting a podcast. Participants will gain practical insights into content planning, equipment setup, and effective promotion strategies to launch a successful podcast.

 

Technical Considerations in Podcasting | 2/11 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

This class addresses the technical considerations essential for high-quality podcast production, including equipment selection, audio recording techniques, and editing software.

 

Pre-Production for Podcasting | 2/18 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

Delve into the critical preproduction phase of podcasting, covering topic research, scriptwriting, and guest coordination. Students will learn how to create detailed episode outlines, prepare engaging content, and organize logistics to ensure a smooth recording process.

 

Producing a Podcast | 2/25 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

This class covers the comprehensive process of producing a podcast, from concept development to final publication. Students will learn about planning content, recording episodes, editing audio, and distributing their podcast on various platforms to reach their target audience.

 

Post-Production for a Podcast | 3/4 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

Distributing a Podcast | 3/11 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

You’ve Launched. Now What? | 3/25  | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

This class guides participants through the process of launching a podcast, covering initial promotion strategies and metrics for success. Attendees will also learn about ongoing content creation, audience engagement, and podcast monetization to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.

 

Monetizing a Podcast | 4/1 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

This class explores various strategies for monetizing a podcast, including sponsorships, advertising, and listener support. Participants will learn how to attract potential sponsors, integrate ads effectively, and leverage platforms like Patreon to generate revenue from their podcasting efforts.

 

Video Podcasting | 4/8 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

Explore the essentials of video podcasting, including equipment selection, video recording techniques, and editing software. Participants will learn how to create engaging visual content, synchronize audio and video, and distribute their video podcasts on platforms like YouTube and Vimeo.

 

Using LiveStream | 4/15 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM | $20

In this class, participants will learn how to leverage livestreaming technology to engage with audiences in real-time, covering platforms like Twitch, YouTube Live, and Facebook Live. From setting up equipment to managing audience interaction, students will gain practical skills for creating dynamic and interactive livestream content.
