Meridian Technology Center and the Pawnee Public Library have partnered to provide residents with a no-cost Résumé Writing course.

Workforce and Economic Development Project Manager Justin Smola will facilitate the course.

“Your résumé is the single most important part of the job application process,” Smola explained. “This session will focus on easy ways to create a résumé to make an impact when applying for jobs.”

Content covered in the course will include how to determine the appropriate length for your résumé, what information you should include and exclude, how to highlight skills and experiences, and optimizing your résumé using language that corresponds with job descriptions. Smola will also discuss free resources to help you create a résumé that reflects your personality and your profession.

The training will take August 9 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pawnee Public Library. There is no cost to attend, but a pre-registration is required. Registration information can be found at meridiantech.edu/pawnee-library.
