Become a Cosmetologist and gain skills for hair, skin and nail services with hands-on experience in a full-service salon and spa that is open to the public.
The daytime Cosmetology program is for high school students only. Adult students can enroll in the Cosmetology – Adult Evening career major.
There’s more to this profession than cut and color. In this program you will explore the science behind bringing out beauty! You’ll begin with time in the classroom gaining foundational skills for hair, skin and nail services. Before you know it, you’ll be behind the chair gaining hands-on experience in Meridian’s full-service salon and spa that is open to the public. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to take the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam.

In order to be successful in a career, students will need to meet all technical and academic standards related to their career of choice at Meridian. Meridian offers rigorous programs of study designed in cooperation with business and industry to ensure students are fully prepared for the demands of the workplace.
When a student completes all standards as set forth in their program of study, they will be considered a graduate of Meridian and receive the Career Ready Credential. Students who do not meet these standards will not be considered graduates of Meridian. Students should have:
